Don't put away your shovels, there's more snow and cold on its way to Hamilton on Tuesday.

Environment Canada says there's a 40 per cent chance of flurries during the day, with an additional two to four centimetres of snow possibly falling.

It'll also be cold. Tuesday's high will be -8 C, but wind chill values during the morning commute could drop to -25 C with gusts of 50 km/h.

Frigid overnight temperatures overnight Monday it could go as low as -29 C will also mean the snow on the ground will be hanging around.

Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson told CBC Hamilton anywhere from 20 cm to 35 cm of snow fell in the Hamilton area on Sunday night and Monday morning, depending on where measurements were taken.

"In terms of one event, this is the largest snowfall we've had this winter," he said.
