Give Proof to Our Youth
The second annual Give Proof to Our Youth event is in memory of Marley J. Rowe, the first murder victim of Hamilton in 2014. Organizer Sherri Bonnallie, parent of Rowe, said youth should not be lost to the streets and should have no fear of having somewhere to go. They should be accepted equally regardless of their race or religious believes, Bonnallie said.
The event aims to raise $5,000 to donate to youth programs in Hamilton.
Organizers are also looking for youth-related business to groups to participate in the event. For more information, visit the event Facebook page here.

Golden Horseshoe Live Steamer Days
Hamilton Museum of Steam and Technology is offering a free guided tour on Sunday. Catch a ride on miniature trains and witness the social and mechanical life of Canada's early industrial revolution. All ages welcome.

Last weekend of Fringe Festival
Forty companies, 11 days, 12 venues, over 300 performances. The 11th annual Hamilton Fringe Festival wraps up this weekend with an action-packed finale,
One-hundred per cent of the box office revenue goes back to the artists.

Sunday Slamfest 3rd birthday bash
Jamie Problem and Hammer City Records have rounded up a stack of Hamilton bands to ring in Slamfest's 3rd birthday. Seven bands and a pinata are in store. DJ Hamilton Kid will be spinning on the patio between bands. There will also be limited edition cupcakes.
