The Claremont Access is closed both ways this weekend for annual maintenance.

Crews will complete rock scaling work on the exposed face of the escarpment, the City of Hamilton said, and the closure is due to the potential for falling debris.

The annual maintenance of the Claremont Access started following a rock slide in 2012.

The full road closure begins at 6 a.m. Saturday, July 26 and is expected to be completed by 6 p.m. Sunday, July 27, weather permitting.
