Police are working with new leads in a 30-year-old cold case of the missing David Nixon, who was last seen at the corner of King and James, on July 6, 1984.
Last week, as the anniversary date approeached, police made a public appeal for information on the three-decade old case. Detective David Brady said it was in part to try and bring closure to a pair of elderly parents. He also said the Nixon case is one that has "haunted me my whole career."

"We had some calls with some new information that we will be following on," Brady said Monday. "Hopefully something can come from this."
That hope may be muted — while Brady has some new calls to make, none of them are to people who have recently seen Nixon.
Nixon was 24 when he disappeared, and would be 53 years old today. He is described as white, about five foot ten, 150 pounds with a medium build with light brown, short curly hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information about Nixon or his whereabouts is asked to call police at 905-546-3873 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
