Police are probing a Hamilton stabbing that sent one man to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, emergency crews were called to an apartment in the area of King Street East and Glendale, near Gage Park, said Staff Sgt. Dave Dunbar of the Hamilton Police Service.
Officers found a group of people tending to the wounds of a man who had been stabbed in his shoulder or upper arm. The individuals were using towels to slow the bleeding, Dunbar said.
Paramedics then rushed the man to hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim is "uncooperative" and has refused to help investigators, Dunbar said.
"He's screaming and yelling and getting hostile with folks at the hospital."
Investigators don't believe the attack occurred at the apartment and are looking for more information about where the stabbing took place.
Police don't have any suspects in the case, Dunbar added.
"We're sorting it out with some of these witnesses to see what they know."
