Hamilton Police are looking for a suspicious man who approached a 6-year-old boy during his lunch break at an east-end school.
Around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the young male student was in the playground at Holy Name of Jesus Elementary School on Belmont Avenue, near Cannon and Gage streets.
A man, who had a child with him, approached the playground and started asking the 6-year-old student about his family, police said in a release. He made a comment to the boy about coming to his home and tried to grab him.
The student ran away and back into the school. The boy didn't report what happened to the school, but told his parents at the end of the day. His parents reported the incident to police.
Police ask anyone with information to call Division 2 at 905.546.2907 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.222.TIPS.
