A Hamilton homeowner woke early Tuesday to a break-in at his east-end house.
The man heard a loud crashing noise around 2:45 a.m. at the front of his Holmesdale Avenue house, said Hamilton Police, and found his living room window open and the screen cut.
The homeowner's wallet was missing, police said.
An early morning investigation didn't turn up any trace of the suspect.
Police continue to investigate.
