There are certain benefits of having a resident of a nearby burg take a trip in space.
Case in point: Commander Chris Hadfield's stint on the International Space Station has snagged southern Ontario residents a snazzy souvenir.
On Thursday, the Canadian astronaut from Milton, Ont. tweeted a Jan 2. photo of the Golden Horseshoe revealing the Hamilton area covered in a blanket a snow.
The former Royal Canadian Air Force pilot blasted off from Kazakhstan in mid-December for a five-month stint at the International Space Station. He is slated to take command of the outpost in March — the first Canadian to do so.
