Screaming man waving a knife arrested in Hamilton

A Hamilton man is in custody after police found him waving a blade and screaming in the streets of Hamilton late Saturday.

Around 11:15 p.m. police were called about a man "acting in a bizarre manner" around Melvin Avenue and Woodward Avenue.

Police say the man pulled out a weapon, and started yelling and swinging it wildly.

The man fled the area when police arrived, but was located a short distance away by the police canine unit.

A 34-year-old Hamilton man was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and weapons dangerous.
