The 7:13 a.m. Union GO Train to Aldershot is delayed by just over seven minutes this morning.
Police aren't yet reporting any incidents relating to Hamilton, so it's relatively smooth sailing this morning. Just watch out for that fog.

Tonight's forecast calls for periods of rain, with wind coming out of the southwest 20 km/h. Low 4 C.
Expect a few rain showers or flurries Wednesday with the temperature falling to 1 C in the afternoon.

Hamilton police are charging volunteers too much for police checks, and should think about cutting the fee in half. That was the message from George Geczy, an avid volunteer who presented at the police services board on Monday.
Hamilton Police Services charges volunteers $35 for what it calls "vulnerable sector" police checks, which verifies that they can work with vulnerable populations such as children. For unpaid roles requiring fingerprinting, the fee jumps another $25.
And an Ancaster councillor will appear in court on Jan. 16 to answer to charges related to his ownership of a taxi cab plate. Coun. Lloyd Ferguson owns a plate on a Hamilton Cab vehicle with alleged mechanical defects. The charges are part of a recent city enforcement blitz to crack down on the safety of local taxis.
Ferguson says his ownership is arm's length from the cab and doesn't know the nature of the mechanical defects. He doesn't know which vehicle is associated with the plate, he said, or how he ended up included in the summons. He leases the plates to Hamilton Cab.
