GO Transit has resumed service on its Lakeshore West train line, after a suspension left some passengers stuck between stations for hours on Wednesday as they tried to make their way home for Christmas Eve.
Service shut down shortly after 2 p.m. after a pedestrian was struck and killed at Lorne Park Road and Lakeshore Road West.
Buses shuttled commuters between Clarkson and Port Credit stations as police investigated.
Service resumed around 4:30 p.m. but GO warned "major delays" will continue on the line as it works through the backlog.
