Police in Peel are offering a $25,000 reward for tips that lead to an arrest in the shooting death of Hamilton-born Kesean Williams.

The nine-year-old boy died one year ago Thursday after shots were fired into the room of his family's Brampton home, into which they moved just days earlier.

Peel Regional Police believe the home was targeted, but don't know who the intended victim was or what motivated the attack.

Investigators have set up a dedicated tip line for the case and are appealing to members of the community for information.

Officers are setting up a mobile command centre in the neighbourhood and will be canvassing the community for tips.

People with new information on the death of Kesean Williams are asked to call the new tip line at 905-795-7712 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
