Hamilton police have identified the victim in an alleged east Hamilton homicide that took place on Nov. 14.
The victim is 40-year-old Jiali Zhang. Police say she was a Chinese national living in Toronto and was working as an escort. According to police, Zhang arrived in Canada from Hong Kong in 2007 and that at the time of her death Zhang's status in Canada was under review.
Hamilton police announced on Nov. 16 that the coroner determined Zhang died of blunt force trauma.

Hamilton police have charged a Stoney Creek man with first-degree murder.
Shortly after 11 p.m. on Nov. 14, police say, they received a 911 call from the parking lot of Eastgate Square from a male who reported that he had just killed a woman.
The mall is located half a block from the apartment building.
Officers found the woman's body inside a six-storey apartment building that stands at the corner of Riverdale Drive and Queenston Road.
Dalibor Klaric, 35, of Stoney Creek, faces a first-degree murder charge in the case.
