It's the last day of February and the weekend will take us into March. Here are a few ideas on how to spend your time this weekend, whiling the hours until spring.

Swap seeds

Until 3 p.m. Saturday you can swap seeds for your garden at a "Seedy Saturday" event put on by the Hamilton Community Gardening Network. More information here.

Buy flowers

Local florist A Fine Medley will have flowers for sale as a pop-up shop inside Girl on the Wing on King Street in the International Village. (While you're there, stop by the new digs of Vintage Soul Geek.)

Go for a run

There's still room in both the 5K and the 30K for Around the Bay, happening in one month. The air is still negative temperatures, but it's warmer than it's been and the sun's out Saturday. (Here's the Environment Canada forecast.) Get out there!

Check out a user experience (UX) conference

If you don't already have tickets to this, there's no room this time. But you can follow the workshops on design and marketing using the hashtag #embraceUX on Twitter.

See emerging artists

Saturday is the last day to see a show of work by McMaster University graduating art students.
