Here are two properties that could be a sign of the times in Hamilton's hot downtown and North End housing markets: 

A small century cottage just sold for more than $300,000 — the final price was $20,000 more than the asking price.

And developers are hoping to capitalize on that demand with a penthouse unit at the Royal Connaught. Asking price? $1.2 million.

There are delays of less than 10 minutes on the GO Transit Lakeshore West trains eastbound out of Aldershot and Oakville, and also westbound out of Toronto toward Aldershot.

Here's what's being reported on the roads:

  • Collision at Wilson St. and Victoria Ave.: Police are responding to reports a pedestrian has been struck. Minor injuries reported. ​8:10 a.m.
  • Collision at Bay St. N. and King St. W. No injuries. 7:34 a.m.
  • Collision on the 403 before Highway 6 has been cleared. No injuries. 8:00 a.m.
