Hamilton Bulldogs' Jarred Tinordi will need dental work after a brutal fight with Utica Comets' Andrey Pedan on Friday, according to the team.

Head coach Sylvain Lefebvre said after the game that Tinordi will need dental work and will be re-evaluated on Saturday, the team said on Twitter.

The fight broke out during the second period of the American Hockey League game. Tinordi, the Montreal Canadiens' first-round pick in the 2010 NHL draft, was knocked down after Pedan threw a hard right at his head.

The Bulldogs ended up blanking the visiting Utica Comets 3-0, as Mike Condon stopped 27 shots for his first career shutout.

Nick Sorkin opened the scoring for the Bulldogs (16-14-6) at 15:29 of the first period and Maxime Macenauer doubled his club's lead 14 minutes into the third.

Jacob de la Rose added an empty-net goal for Hamilton while Daniel Carr and Gabriel Dumont each tacked on two assists.

Joacim Eriksson kicked out 30-of-32 shots for the Comets (22-8-5), who sit atop the North Division standings.

The Bulldogs went 0 for 3 on the power play while Utica failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
