Bundle up, Hamilton. The extreme cold we became so well acquainted with last winter is back.
The city is under an extreme cold warning today, as wind chill values are set to plunge down to a frigid – 20 C this afternoon and into the evening.
Dress in layers today, and make sure you're covering up as much as you can to avoid the biting wind. Synthetic and wool fabrics provide better insulation. Hopefully you don't have to spend too much time outside today.
If you know of someone who is struggling outside or in a shelter that isn't heated properly, call the Salvation Army at 905-527-1444 Ext. 0.
GO Transit isn't reporting delays on lines connecting with Hamilton.

The new Tim Hortons museum that commemorates the chain's remarkable 50 year history will host a grand opening party on Wednesday at the Ottawa Street location in Hamilton where it all started.
Coffee and donut lovers are invited to the original store from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to celebrate with free coffee served in retro cups, and 1,500 throwback donuts being served to the public and to take a tour of the attached museum.
And the holiday season was a busy time for criminals in the city, who committed at least 380 crimes in December according to Hamilton police data.
The police's online crime map, unveiled in November, shows there were 380 confirmed criminal incidents in Hamilton from Dec. 1 to New Year's Day. That overall number may be up from November, which had some 312 incidents according to the data still available (Nov. 8-Dec.1).
This is why you really, really need to not have any metal on you inside an MRI machine:
