A Hamilton woman is charged with pulling a knife on three people after someone interrupted her urinating on the sidewalk.

The woman was urinating on a sidewalk around 8:45 p.m. on Sept. 4 around Barton Street East and Emerald, police say. Another woman walking past commenting on her "crude actions," and they started arguing.

The woman pulled out a knife and swung it at the passerby, police say. Two other people came to help and the woman swung a knife at them too.

Officers responded and found a woman with a knife on her. They arrested the 24-year-old and charged her with three counts of assault with a weapon.

The 39-year-old passerby received a minor injury but didn't require medical assistance.
