Hamilton police are looking for witnesses of an overnight stabbing in Hamilton's east end.
Shortly before 3 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a call about a stabbing at the southeast corner of Queenston Road and Nash Road.
When police arrived to the scene, "they found a man suffering from two stab wounds," said Division Two Staff Sgt. Greg Doerr.
He said paramedics took the victim, a 20-year-old from Hamilton, to hospital with minor injuries.
According to Doerr, "an investigation revealed that a Green Pontiac entered the lot and four males got out and attacked the victim."
Police searched for the vehicle and later found it with one occupant inside. He was arrested on "unrelated charges," Doerr said.
Doerr wouldn't specify what the charges were. He said he isn't certain whether the man who was arrested, also a 20-year-old from Hamilton, will face any charges in connection with Sunday's stabbing.
Police are still searching for the three additional suspects and are looking to speak with witnesses who may be able to help with the investigation. Doerr asked for anyone with information on the stabbing to contact Division Two detectives at 905-546-2963 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-822-8477.
