The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a single vehicle crash near St.George that claimed the life of a Hamilton-area man.

The 20-year-old driver from Dundas lost control on German School Road and veered into a ditch last night.

Brant County OPP says the man was thrown from the vehicle.

He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators say speed, and the fact the driver wasn't wearing his seatbelt, were factors in the death.

The victim's name has not yet been released.
