Sound of Music Festival

The hills are alive with The Sound of Music Festival. They say it's Canada's Largest Free Music Festival and who am I to argue. It takes place in Burlington. Performers include Lou Gramm: The Voice of Foreigner, Carole Pope of Rough Trade, Teenage Head and returning favourite Kim Mitchell. Additional dates include June 12-15 when the Sheepdogs, Classified, Monster Truck, Colin James, Jason Blaine, Trooper, Sloan, Gord Downie and The Sadies, Kira Isabella, Maestro Fresh Wes, Jarvis Church, Karl Wolf, Fred Penner and Ashley MacIsaac and many more perform. More here. No word on if the Von Trapp Family Singers will close the show.

Dundas Valley Orchestra's Soirée in the Afternoon

Takes place June 8, 2014 from 2-5 pm in support of the orchestra. Tickets are $35 per person or $20 for students. They ask you to join them and socialize with other residents of Dundas, Hamilton, and the surrounding area to raise your appreciation of the arts. The venue is Valley City, a historical manufactury right in the heart of Dundas, provided courtesy of the Crockford family. The Valley City building is one of the original industrial buildings in what was Canada West in the pre confederation 1850's.

Sherman Hub 2nd Annual Neighbourhood Yard Sale

Ride To Live

Steel City Bike Festival

The Steel City Bike Festival is a 6 day festival that was created to promote the benefits that cycling offers to our community. Besides being good for you, riding your bike helps the environment (zero emissions!), doesn't cost much (bye-bye gas!), and allows you to see things that you wouldn't normally notice when driving a vehicle.
