Man, 63, blew two times over legal blood-alcohol limit, Hamilton police say

A 63-year-old Hamilton man faces drunk driving charges after he was found behind the wheel of an idling car in the parking lot of a funeral home, police say.
Around 9:35 p.m. on Thursday, police spotted the driver idling in the parking lot at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel, located on Barton Street East near John Street North.
"Officers approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver, who showed signs of impairment," Hamilton police spokeswoman Debbie McGreal-Dinning said in a statement.
Police arrested the driver and took him to the station for a breath test. He blew two times over the legal blood-alcohol limit, McGreal-Dinning said.
A 63-year-old Hamilton man faces impaired driving charges in connection with the incident.
He was released on a promise to appear in court.
