The number of Hamilton households without power is slowly dropping and the remaining few can expect their power to be restored on Friday.
Horizon Utilities reported at 8 a.m. that power has been restored to all the customers who lost power due to last weekend's ice storm. Hydro One reported that 121 customers are still experiencing power outages, down from 1,641 Thursday morning. The estimated restoration time ranges from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Horizon Utilities said 21 customers have experienced damage to their electrical system and are waiting for inspection from Electrical Safety Authority. Horizon Utilities will reconnect those customers after the ESA has issued its authorization.
Any remaining customers experiencing problems with the power in their home are asked to call 1-800-434-1235.
The latest updates for Hydro One customers can be found online at the power outage map on the company's website. Customers with access to mobile phones can also download a free mobile app to check the status of restoration.
