A proposed high school/community centre complex in the city's Pan Am precinct is on the table again at city hall Thursday.

The general issues committee will vote on a motion to spend about $17 million on the joint project. It would include a 1,250-student public high school and a city community centre, recreation centre and pool, among other amenities.

The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board wants the city to sign a memorandum of agreement for the project. When faced with it in July, councillors said they felt rushed and ill prepared to sign an agreement for that amount of money.

Coun. Sam Merulla will introduce a motion today to fund the project.
