The Ontario Safety League expressed concern today about the open availability of bongs and other paraphernalia, arguing that they promote the use of illegal drugs.
The OSL held a 10:30 a.m. ET news conference, streamed live by CBC News.
The group displayed a collection of "bongs, grinders and pipes" that it purchased at locations across southern Ontario.
OSL president Brian Patterson said the items were easily purchased.
Speakers also included York Centre MPP Monte Kwinter and Marc Paris, executive director of Partnership for a Drug Free Canada.
