Police have called off an Amber Alert for a U.S. boy who went missing in the Niagara Region, though police did not immediately provide details on the whereabouts of the nine-year-old.
Earlier Thursday, police issued an Amber Alert for Joseluis Resendiz, an American citizen believed abducted in the Niagara Region of southern Ontario on Wednesday night.
Police had been looking for a 2007 Mazda sedan with the Ontario licence plate BRAV 280. They had also been trying to locate the boy's mother and his uncle.
Just after 11 a.m. ET on Thursday, police reported that they had pulled over the vehicle near Martin Grove Road and Rexdale Boulevard. However, it was not immediately clear who was in the car when it was stopped or if Joseluis was present.
Shortly thereafter, the Amber Alert was cancelled.
