Hamilton police make arrest in cab driver beating

Police have made an arrest in connection to the brutal beating of a Hamilton taxi driver.

On July 16, the driver picked up two men and a woman at a grocery store on the corner of Upper Paradise and Mohawk Road West. The driver was beaten, robbed and left in the street once they got to their destination on Limeridge Road West, police say.

Police arrested a 19-year-old Hamilton man on Monday night and charged him with robbery and aggravated assault.

He was held for a bail hearing in Hamilton court Tuesday morning.
