Police are on the lookout for a man wanted for attempting to lure two young girls into his home on Thursday.
Around 3:10 p.m., an unknown man approached two young girls aged 10 and 11 walking home from school in the area of King Street West and McMurray Street in central Dundas.
The man was standing in front of the old post office building when he asked the girls their names, where they lived and where they go to school. He told the girls where he lived and said that they could come over to his home and visit "anytime," police say.
The girls refused and ran into a local business until he left the area. They ran home and told their parents, who called police.
The suspect is described as a white man in his forties, around five feet tall, with a dark complexion, short hair with a buzz cut and green eyes.
Police say his appearance was dirty and unkempt with crooked, broken teeth. He was wearing ripped jeans and a navy blue shirt that said "Newfoundland."
Police are asking anyone with information to contact police at 905-546-8927 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
