Hamilton police are still combing Kadar Omar's downtown home and trying to figure out who stabbed the 33-year-old to death on the weekend.
Police were called to the apartment just north of Hess Village around 7 p.m. Saturday and found Omar dead inside.
On Sunday, an autopsy revealed the cause of death was a loss of blood from a stab wound.
Officers are working on the scene at 254 King St. W, and will likely finish collecting evidence in Omar's apartment on Tuesday, says Staff Sgt. Matt Kavanagh.
"We're talking to a lot of people," Kavanagh said. "But people are scared, which is the case with a lot of homicides.
"We'll keep working, and hopefully we'll get a break here somewhere."
Police are asking anyone with information regarding Omar's death to contact Det. Daryl Reid of the Homicide Unit at 905-546- 3823, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
