Police say Hamilton man stabbed to death

HAMILTON, Ont. — Hamilton police say the death of a 33-year-old man Saturday night is being treated as a homicide.

Police say they were called to a King Street West residence around 7 p.m. and found the man inside. They say he had suffered from trauma before his death. The victim has been identified as Kadar Omar of Hamilton.

On Sunday, an autopsy revealed the cause of death was a loss of blood due to a stab wound. Police continue to hold the scene and search for evidence. Police are asking anyone with information regarding Mr. Omar's death to contact Det. Daryl Reid of the Homicide Unit at 905-546- 3823 or to call Crime Stoppers.
