Hamilton sex offender arrested in Toronto

Hamilton police reported Sunday night that a convicted sex offender on the loose was arrested in Toronto.

Police said Stephen Jones, 57, has been returned to the custody of Hamilton police.

Jones was a psychiatric patient at the West 5th campus of St. Joseph's hospital. He was last seen on Friday at 2:40 p.m. He was considered to be a danger to the public.

Police say Jones was arrested "without incident" at around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
