Goaltender Dustin Tokarski stopped 29 of 30 shots he faced as the Hamilton Bulldogs came from behind to defeat the host Texas Stars 2-1 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.
Trailing 1-0, Peter Holland tied the game for the Bulldogs (28-35-6) at 13:44 of the third period and Charles Hudon scored the winner with only 25 seconds remaining in regulation time.
Hudon, a 2012 fifth-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens, was playing in just his second professional game since moving up from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Chicoutimi Sagueneens on April 4.
Travis Morin scored on the power play at 2:09 of the second period for the Stars (39-19-11), who have dropped back-to-back contests
Cristopher Nilstorp made 20 saves in defeat for Texas.
Hamilton went 0-for-2 on the power play while Texas scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
The Bulldogs, who defeated the San Antonio Rampage 4-2 on Friday, have won the first two games on their three-game road trip through the state of Texas with their final game set for Sunday against the Houston Aeros. They sit last in the Western Conference, 15 points out of the final playoff position.
The Stars are currently tied for first in the West with the Toronto Marlies, who beat the St John's IceCaps on Saturday 4-2. Texas, however, has one game in hand, which will be played on Sunday when the club heads to San Antonio to face the Rampage.
