Armed, masked men rob Dundas bank

Police are searching for two suspects after an armed bank robbery in Dundas.

Around 9:50 a.m. on Monday, two men wearing balaclavas entered a bank on Osler Drive, jumped behind the counter and filled plastic bags with cash. They then fled in a dark Dodge Stratus, which was later recovered by the authorities.

Witnesses said the thieves had a gun, according to police.

Nearby Dundana Public School went into lockdown after the robbery took place, but has since reopened.

The police provided the following descriptions of the suspects:

  • Suspect 1 — White male, 20 to 30 years old, wearing a black hoodie, blue sweatpants and a ski mask
  • Suspect 2 — White male, wearing a ski mask

The Hamilton Police Service's Break and Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery unit is investigating.
