Blame Texas.
Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning for Hamilton and much of southern Ontario. A "low track" from the Lone Star State is coming this way.
The weather conditions move from Texas to Illinois Thursday, then north to Ontario on Friday.
Environment Canada's website says snow will come Thursday, possibly by the evening.
"The heaviest snow will occur during the Friday morning rush hour along the Highway 401 corridor from London to the Greater Toronto Area and through the Golden Horseshoe," the agency said.
Parts of southern and eastern Ontario are expected to receive between 15 cm to 25 cm of snow before the storm ends Friday night.
Environment Canada warned commuters that blowing snow could make for hazardous travelling conditions on Thursday and Friday.
CBC News reporter Trevor Dunn said commuters should prepare for a difficult drive or arrange to take transit.
"The worst is coming overnight and it will continue through early Friday," Dunn reported. "By all appearances, tomorrow morning looks treacherous."
