Police seek suspect in armed robbery

Andrew Ribson, 25, is wanted by Hamilton police for armed robbery.

Hamilton police are seeking a suspect who they believe was involved in an armed robbery Saturday morning.

Around 11:15 a.m., a man and woman were sitting in their car in a plaza parking lot on Main St. E. when the man opened the door and sat in the back seat. Armed with a gun, the man — who was an acquaintance of the woman — stole the woman's purse and fled the scene.

Police are looking for Andrew Ribson, a 25-year-old man who is 5'9" tall and140 lbs with light brown hair. He is wanted for robbery with a firearm and breach of probation. Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
