Brett Connolly and Matt Taormina had back-to-back power-play goals as the Syracuse Crunch downed the Hamilton Bulldogs 5-1 on Friday in American Hockey League play.
Pierre-Cedric Labrie, Alex Killorn and Ondrej Palat rounded out the offence for Syracuse (14-5-2), while Riku Helenius made 19 saves for the win.
Aaron Palushaj was the lone scorer for Hamilton (7-10-2). Goaltender Cedrick Desjardins stopped 37 shots.
The Crunch were 2 for 5 on the power play, while the Bulldogs couldn't score on their four chances.
Palat scored just 26 seconds into the game and Connolly and Taormina also struck in the opening period as Syracuse took a 3-1 lead into the first intermission.
Killorn and Labrie scored in the third period.
