Hamilton police arrest intoxicated man for going into wrong house twice

Police arrested an intoxicated man for walking into a house in downtown Hamilton Friday night — because it wasn't his house.

Around 10 p.m., police were called about a man who was drunk and banging on doors on John Street North, near Cannon Street East.

When they arrived, police found a 39-year-old Hamilton man had walked into the same house twice.

It was not his house, and the homeowner had to forcibly removed him twice.

Police arrested the man and took him to the men's detox centre. He was ticketed for public intoxication.
