Police have made an arrest after a morning bank robbery Tuesday morning.
Following an investigation, the BEAR unit had identified the suspect by Wednesday morning. The suspect was located and arrested near Bold St. and Park St., charged in relation to the bank robbery as well as another break and enter investigation, police said.
He was charged with four counts of possession under $5,000, as well as four counts of fraud under $5,000.
The robbery occurred around 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bank of Montreal on Queenston Rd., police said. The suspect entered the bank and vaulted over the counter before snatching some cash. He made a comment that suggested he may have a weapon, according to Sgt. Terri-Lynn Collings.
"It was enough to make the staff feel like he might be armed," she said.
The suspect ran out of the bank and fled on foot towards Parkdale Ave.
Another bank robbery that occurred the same day is still under investigation, according to police.
