An attorney for Christina Noudga appeared in court on her behalf Friday for a procedural step toward trial.

Noudga, the woman charged with being an accessory after the fact in the 2013 slaying of Tim Bosma, is skipping a preliminary inquiry and going straight to trial.
Noudga's lawyer, Paul Mergler, appeared in Superior Court Friday to set a date for a pretrial conference call for April 21. She won't appear in court on April 21, said Paul Mergler, her attorney.
Bosma's remains were found charred beyond recognition on a Waterloo farm owned by Millard days after he left his Ancaster, Ont., home on May 6, 2013, to take two men on a test drive of a truck he was trying to sell online.
Noudga, 22, was arrested in April 2014, and released on Aug. 8 that year on $100,000 bail. She was released to the home of her parents, who are acting as sureties.
In a previous interview, Crown prosecutor Anthony Leitch said the charge against Noudga relates to an allegation that she tried to help Millard "escape" on May 9, 2013. Police have said she was dating Millard at the time of the alleged offence.
He would not elaborate as to what was meant by escape, or from whom.
Police had at one time speculated there was a third person involved in Bosma's abduction and slaying, but Leitch said Noudga likely had no part in it.
