Hamilton Police's K-9 unit and the OPP could not catch a man who fled into the forest off of Highway 6 during a traffic stop.

The suspects, three men in a car, were pulled over on the rural highway in Flamborough, near Maddaugh Road, at roughly 11 p.m. Wednesday night. Hamilton Police said they suspected the men were lying, and called for backup.

When the new officer arrived, one man fled on foot into the forest. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Hamilton's K-9 unit were called in for the search, but came up empty.

As for the two men that remained in the car, only one was arrested, a 31-year-old Guelph man who was charged with obstructing police.

Police are looking for a man for the man who fled. They say he is about 6-foot-2, with an athletic build, roughly 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
