Hamilton Police have released video of three women robbing a cab driver. The women are shown pulling a knife and a hammer on the driver. Hamilton police are asking for the public's help in identifying the women.

The incident happened more than a week ago, near Britannia Avenue at 3:45 a.m. on Feb. 1.

One of the women held a knife to the driver's throat, demanding cash and property, police say.

Another woman threatened the driver with a hammer while telling him to remove the keys. The driver complied, handing over keys, a small amount of cash and a mobile device.

The driver got out of the taxi and watched one woman unsuccessfully try to start the vehicle. The women got out and ran away.

Police responded with the canine unit but didn't find the culprits. The driver wasn't injured.

The suspects are as follows:

  • A "chubby" female with a brown jacket and a bandana over her face.
  • A black female wearing a skinny jacket and a bandana over her face.
  • A white female, about 5'4" and "skinny," also wearing a bandana over her face.
