A 47-year-old Waterdown man was killed Tuesday afternoon after a two-car crash at the intersection of Campbellville Road and Centre Road in Flamborough.

Police say a 23-year-old Flamborough woman was travelling northbound on Centre Road while the man headed west on Campbellville Road. As the woman entered the intersection her car collided with the man's vehicle.

Police responded to an emergency call for help at 3:28 p.m.

The cars landed in a ditch on the north west corner of the intersection. The man's car had flipped on to its roof.

Police say the man died at the scene of the accident. The woman suffered minor injuries and was treated by paramedics.

Police say no charges have been laid yet as the investigation is ongoing.

Police say this is the city's 16th traffic fatality of the year.
