World Synchronized Figure Skating 2014 1:35:38
Hamilton will host an international synchronized skating championship next year. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday.
Would-be attendees of the 2015 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships can get tickets as of 10 a.m. on Dec. 10.
The championship is April 10 and 11 at FirstOntario Centre, and draws the best teams of skaters from around the world.
"This is like no other skating event in the world," said Dan Thompson, CEO of Skate Canada, in a statement. "The athleticism and skill of 16 athletes skating together, combined with the most energetic and enthusiastic fans you will ever see, promises to raise the noise level to new heights at FirstOntario Centre."
There will be 25 teams from 20 countries. NEXXICE — a Burlington-based team — are defending silver medalists. Les Supremes finished in sixth place last year.
Two-day ticket packages cost $100 for lower bowl seating and $75 for upper bowl seating. Purchase them online at ticketmaster.ca, by phone at 1-855-985-5000 or in person at FirstOntario Centre.
