It's a chilly morning out there Hamilton, with temperatures under the freezing mark.
There have been several collisions on area streets this morning, so give yourself plenty of time to get where you're going.
Also, be careful on the sidewalks – in some parts of the city they are icy and treacherous.
Expect things to warm up slightly today with some flurries.

GO Transit is reporting some slight delays on the Lakeshore West line this morning.

- Collision: Lynden Road in Flamborough. 7:07 a.m.
- Collision: Upper James and Airport Road 6:30 a.m.
- Collision: Hwy 403 EB at East Gate Parkway, Mississauga: Single vehicle blocking the right lane, no injuries. 6:50 a.m.
- Collision: QEW Toronto bound before Winston Churchill Blvd: three vehicles blocking the two left lanes, no injuries. 6:40 a.m.
- Collision: Hwy 403 EB ramp to East Gate Parkway, Mississauga: Single vehicle into a snow bank on the shoulder, no injuries. 6:38 a.m.

The Hamilton Port Authority now has permission to create separate industrial lots on Pier 15, but the city says any garbage to energy facility on the pier still would need to gain city approval.
The HPA was successful in Thursday's application to the committee of adjustment to split Pier 15 into six separate parcels of land. It's a small step forward in the plans by the HPA and Port Fuels and Materials Services to see the proposed gasification plant built on port lands.
And Hamilton police are searching for a cab driver after he crashed into a garage door and told officers an elaborate story about being held up at knife point by a fare – a story which police now say was totally made up.
