Hamilton police have arrested a pair of males suspected of breaking into several restaurants and convenience stores in the region in July and August and stealing more than $15,000 of merchandise, property and cash.
Hamilton Police Service's BEAR Unit – Break and Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery – arrested 37-year-old Paul Joseph St. Pierre of Beamsville, charging him with 10 counts of breaking and entering and other charges connected to the break-ins.
The unit arrested 33-year-old James Frederick Taylor of Lindsay on August 14, charging him with three counts of breaking and entering.
Police allege the two broke in to the China Wok in Waterdown, M&G Distributors on Upper James and Pizza Nova on Upper Paradise Street.
They also suspect St. Pierre broke in to five stores in a Binbrook strip mall, stealing more than $6,000 in cigarettes from a dollar store, as well as a Stoney Creek convenience store and a burger shop in Waterdown.
More charges could come as police services around the region are continuing investigations connected to the two suspects, according to Hamilton Police.
