All severe weather warnings and watches have ended in southern Ontario on Sunday evening, which had been triggered by a series of thunderstorms that affected communities all the way from Windsor through to the Greater Toronto Area.
Environment Canada had warned that the storms moving from the southwest part of the province had the potential to bring torrential rain, as well as hail and damaging winds.
The storms brought down trees, caused some power outages and flooded a section of road near Highway 404 and Steeles Avenue, just north of Toronto.
Air travellers heading to Toronto's Pearson and Billy Bishop airports were advised to check the status of their flights before heading to the airports themselves.
Many images of the storms' dark clouds were posted to social media, along with some of the damage they caused on Sunday evening, including uprooted and downed trees in Grand Bend, Ont.
A handful of images captured what appeared to be funnel clouds in Millbank, Ont., about 140 kilometres west of Toronto.
The Waterloo Region Record reported that Environment Canada will be investigating the damage the storms caused on Monday.
