Police are trying to figure out what caused a fight to break out in a City Housing building in downtown Hamilton Monday night.

Officers were called to the apartment building at 95 Hess Street around 8:30 p.m. Three men went to an apartment on the eleventh floor and a fight broke out with the two men living there, police say.

By the time police got there the fight was over, but the officers noted minor injuries on two of the men. Police say they believe a knife was used in the fight.

Nobody involved would cooperate with police and they refused medical help. Detectives continue to investigate.
