Baby expo

Expecting families or those with a young bundle of joy in tow can visit the the Bump, Baby and Toddler Expo all weekend at the Careport Centre (270 Longwood Rd. S). The event will highlight the best in local business and services for young families and the first 200 people through the door each day will receive a gift bag with samples and coupons. 

Mystery novel reading

The Concession library (565 Concession St.) will host local mystery author Ross Pennie for a reading from his latest work Up in Smoke.  Pennie is a retired disease specialist who has worked at McMaster University and the Brantford General Hospital. His latest novel is the third mystery featuring the character Dr. Zol Szabo and is set in part on Concession Street.  The reading will take place Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Those interested in attending can call 905-546-3415 to register. 

Ghost tour of Custom House

Hamiltonians will have the opportunity to tour of the city's most haunted structures on Saturday.  Ghost Walks will take people on a tour of Custom House where they will visit the gallery, attic basement and everything in between. The tour starts Saturday at 8 p.m. from the Workers' Arts and Heritage Centre (51 Stuart St.). 

Concert benefit for Parkinson's disease

The Light of Day Foundation is hosting a special concert on Saturday to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson's disease. The event will feature performances by The Sam Roberts Band, Peter Elkas and Anthony D'Amato among others.  The concert is being held at the Molson Canadian Studio at Hamilton Place at 8 p.m. and tickets can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.ca or at the FirstOntario Box Office. 

Theatre at The Innsville

KooGle Theatre Company will bring their production of COUPLE of SWELLS: A Movie Musical Revue to The Innsville in Stoney Creek on Saturday. The night will feature award-winning dining and top-notch entertainment. Those interesting in attending are encouraged to reserve seats by calling The Innsville (1143 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek) at 905-643-1244. Tickets are $49.95 per person.
