Hamilton police are investigating a possible stabbing after a man arrived at the hospital with cuts to his body.

After 7 p.m. on Saturday, officers received a call about a 42-year-old Hamilton man getting dropped off at Hamilton General Hospital with "lacerations," said police Staff Sgt. George Narozniak.

He said the victim took a cab to get to the hospital, and described the man's injuries as "non-life-threatening."

Narozniak said he doesn't know where the incident, which police believe was a stabbing, took place. He noted he isn't sure whether the victim is cooperating with investigators.

Police don't have any suspect descriptions, but Narozniak said "it's an ongoing investigation."
