Meet the award-winning alpaca 0:42

A rainy Thanksgiving long weekend didn't stop the visitors from heading to Rockton World's Fair at Rockton Fairgrounds, a 20-minute drive from downtown Hamilton.

Now in its 161st year, the festival boasts a demolition derby, midway rides and a spelling bee, as well as more traditional fall fair fixtures, such as a pumpkin competition, a pie-making contest and horse-riding shows.

In the first audio clip, you can listen to Connor Hansford introduce his dad's goat Ancrest Hayden's Trilyte, which was named as the grand champion of its saanen breed. The three-year-old goat is already a mom of two.

In the second audio clip, you can meet the award-winning alpaca Simba. Her trainer Emily Laidlaw explains what obstacles they have to overcome to receive the award in the obstacle course category.
